weekend 24/25 May 2008

Saturday - forecast for rain, (it is after all a bank holiday weekend), walked the dog in the afternoon spotted coots, and cootlings(?) baby coots.

Sunday - rain rain rain, all morning, started the decorating of the spare bedroom, then blast... the sun came out. Took the dog out, and I missed a kestrel, I'm not quick enough!!

But we had a visit to the pond in the garden of a broad bodied chaser dragonfly (see post)

too wet, too chilly for spotting most of the local wildlife, but I saw this determined snail climbing a stalk. Had to lie down in the wet grass to capture it ....

going to use this to record the walks and sights etc from my trips out locally, usually with the dog ... ronnie
Saturday 17th, weather turned foul, miserable drizzly rain, walked the dog behind Cooling, Kent. we saw pheasant, rabbit, magpies, the usual culprits.
